As a large-scale SYP sawmill, Hood Industries produces significant volumes of planermill exhaust dust, shavings, and hammermilled sawdust. This fine material needed to be collected, stored, and moved efficiently to fuel the mill’s drying kilns. Their dry kilns required a steady, dependable supply of sawdust fuel, but the facility’s older system was not capable of meeting modern demands for reliability, safety, and efficiency.
Hood Industries needed a high-performance dust elimination and conveyance solution that could handle constant production flow, support sustainable energy generation, and reduce handling and disposal challenges.

The Solution: Complete Metering Bin + Pneumatic Conveying System
Boulware Equipment LLC designed, built, and supplied a fully integrated Metering Bin and Pneumatic Conveying System engineered specifically for Hood Industries’ Silver Creek facility.
